Barbara
Paull Berger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Board
Certified Diplomate. She graduated with a Masters Degree in Social
Work from the University of Wisconsin, at Madison in 1978 after
she acquired her Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development
from the University of Texas, in Austin. Barbara is also a clinical
member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists.
In addition, she is a member of the National Register of Clinical
Social Workers (NASW) along with belonging to the Academy of Certified
Social Workers.
Barbara
practices individual, couple and family therapy with a range of
issues such as anxiety and depression, interpersonal relationships
and women's' issues, stress management and assertiveness training,
parenting education and training, divorce, adjustment, grief and
loss, family dysfunction, life transitions and interpersonal growth.
Her specialty area is with children and adolescents of all ages
and their families. Recently, Barbara had an article published
in the February 2006 edition of "The Parklander" magazine
titled "The Psychology of Camping" which discussed experiences
children have when attending summer camps. Barbara has previously
provided services in a variety of settings including family agencies
and clinics, educational facilities and centers, along with private
practice groups.
Barbara
is currently a provider on Cigna Healthcare, United Behavioral
Health, Aetna Healthcare, Corphealth (Humana), Value Options,
Beech Street Corp. and other major insurance networks as well
